History of Chapter 2

Chapter 2 Inc. first started in Lake Mills, Wisconsin in 1973.  Original owners George and Marilyn Lohman opened Chapter 2, Inc as a tool and die shop that specialized in the making of jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, and machine tools for companies within the manufacturing industry.  This was the basis of the companies operations until Mr. and Mrs. Lohman sold the company to Tim and Tracy Johnston, the current owners, in 1989. 

After taking over company operations  Mr. and Mrs. Johnston shifted the companies main area of business to automation manufacturing.  Here the company specialized in building equipment for automated machines for companies in the manufacturing industry. 

In 1996 Chapter 2, Inc once again switched its focus and began doing business as a contract manufacturer of machined components.  Today, contract manufacturing accounts for over 80% of the Chapter 2, Inc business.  The other 20% is made up of assembly contracts, which Chapter 2, Inc started in late 2005. Many of these assembly contracts coexist with existing customers in the outsourcing of there manufacturing jobs.

Though Chapter 2, Inc has moved its main focus of business to contract manufacturing and assembly we do offer the services that Chapter 2, Inc were founded upon.  We offer a full service tool room with journeymen tool makers working around the clock to cater to our customers needs when it comes to jigs, fixtures, dies and molds as well as machined tools and maintenance work.

Most of the industries that Chapter 2, Inc currently service include; Lawn and Garden, Medical Equipment, Automotive, Military, Construction, Agriculture, Food Packaging, and Renewable Energy.  Chapter 2, Inc may service these industries but in no way is limited to them. As a full service machine shop Chapter 2, Inc can provide services for almost any company with manufacturing processes or companies that have any maintanence needs.
