  • "Fiberdome's good news continues" (Also good news for chapter 2, inc)

    11/24/2009

Chapter 2, Inc continues to see its relationship grow stronger with Lake Mills based company Fiberdome.  Fiberdome had been awarded a multi-million dollar contract from Oshkosh Corporation to produce front end/hood units for their new Matv MRAP vehicles headed towards the front lines of Afghanistan.  Fiberdome is set to manufacture more than 7,000 of these front end/hood units.  This in turn is good news for us at Chapter 2, Inc as we continue to grow as one of their major vendors for machining.

Co-Owner Steve Bendall of Fiberdome had this to say about Chapter 2, Inc; "They are continually growing as one of our major vendors," said Bendall. "They've made expansion commitments to grow with our continued expansion. They're definitely a Class A vendor for us when it comes to machined parts and finishing (work)."

  • INTRODUCING cHAPTER 2, iNC nEW wATERJET Cutting Process

    11/10/2009

Chapter 2, Inc has recently invested in a new AccuStream AS-6030 waterjet cutter.  The waterjet cutter is connected to a Nachi six axis AS-6030 robot arm and has the ability of cutting through materials such as fiberglass and plastics by using a jet of water at high velocity and pressure. It is the preferred method when materials being cut are sensitive to the high temperatures generated by other methods. The cutter is connected to a high-pressure water pump where the water is then ejected from the nozzle, cutting through the material by spraying it with the jet of high-speed water.  The Waterjet is considered a "green" technology and produces no hazardous waste, reducing Chapter 2, Inc waste disposal costs.
