In an effort to continually improve our workforce, facilities and processes Chapter 2 has partnered with Madison Area Technical College (MATC) to conduct a series of training workshops to introduce and implement the concepts of lean manufacturing within our company’s culture.  Efforts towards this implementation began last fall when Chapter 2, with the help of MATC, applied and was awarded a Small Business Workforce Advancement Training Grant.  Since then, MATC has conducted several customized training sessions for Chapter 2 to help advance our individual and organizational knowledge’s in the areas of 5s and Lean Manufacturing.  With more training by MATC planned in the near future and Chapter 2 beginning to implement these newly learned concepts the overall goal is to become a more organized, efficient, worker friendly manufacturing facility. Special thanks goes out to all the MATC faculty that have been invovled!

Well the facility is complete and operations have begun in our new 14,000 sq ft. facility.  The facility will be home to Chapter 2, Inc. new Paint Division and for the short term house part of the ever expanding assembly operations we offer.  Plans for equipment expansion within the Paint Division are in discussion so stay tuned for the latest updates!

Chapter 2 would like to announce its new facility expansion plan.  We will be adding an additional but separate 14,000 sq ft. facility next to our current location on South C.P Ave, Lake Mills, WI.  The facility front will be most visible from Jefferson Street.  The current time line has the building being complete by the end of current calendar year.  Stay tuned for more updates on the project!

Chapter 2 would like to update everyone that we have recently purchased two new machines in a continuing effort to broaden and increase or machining capabilities and capacity.  The first machine is a Hwacheon Cutex - 240 High Precision Horizontal Lathe with Live Tooling.  The second machine is a HAAS VF5 SS Vertical Mill with a 50" x 27" table and has 4 axis travel capability.

Chapter 2 is proud to announce that as of July 1, 2010 we are now a Woman Owned Business with the company presidency going to former Vice President Tracy Johnston.  Former President Tim Johnston will now take the role of CEO and Vice President of Chapter 2.  Congratulations to all parties!!
